More on Linklaters and Eilís Ferran

I browsed through Ms. Ferran's article from 2004 on the UK company law reform and the Companies Bill after reading through the Linklaters update and reviewing the DTI's page on a better business framework and the "gargantuan" shape the Companies Bill is taking with more than 1200 clauses. That in itself is making it more or at least an equally frightening monster as the predecessor may have been. Reading Ferran's article again the more convinced I am that she has got it, she hits the nail directly on the head. Labour's intention and well sounding argument for the entire reform may be somewhat of a political disillusionment. Traditional, thorough procedures and gradual advances seem to make more sense than the ongoing revolt of the UK company law.
